There was again unsatisfied demand for the principal investment stocks on the Auckland sliaremarket yesterday. Soldiers' Loan bonds changed hands at £94 10s with further inquiry at £94, and no late sellers. Inscribed stock in the same loan had buyers at £94, holders asking £94 10s. New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1938, sold lit £90, with further demand at £89 10s, sellers closing at £90 10s. In banks Australasias were wanted at £11 ss, sellers £11 15b. For Nationals buyers wero offering £5 14s 6d, no sellers responding. New Zealands had inquiry at 475, sellers '47s 9d. Union of Australia were Avanted at £11 16s, sellers £12 2s 6d. In insurances South British had sale at 33s 3d, sellers closing at 33s 6d, buyers at 32s 9d. New Zealands at 28s had demand at 27s 6d. In gas Aucklands (paid up) sold at 20s 9d. In shipping Devonport Ferry changed hands at 21s. In miscellaneouy lines Auckland Tramways (ord.) sold at 16s. In mining business was done in Wailiis at 18s 6d, late sellers 18s 9d, buyers 18s 6d. Grand Junctions changed hands at 6s 4d, nwe being wanted at that figure, &«llers 6s 6d. The following sales took place:—Soldiers' Loan (bonds), 10s; New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1938, £90; South British, 355.3d; Auckland Gas (paid up), 20s 9d; Devonport Ferry, 2ls; Auckland Tramways (ord.), 16s; Waihi, 18s 6d.: Waihi Grand Junction, 6s 4d.
