ANNUAL REGATTA TO-DAY.

The Victoria Cruising Club will hold its annual regatta this afternoon. Kecord entries havo been received and some keen racing is anticipated. All the events.will start and finish between the eastern pile beacon oil St. Mary's Bay, and the dredge Maui, moored north. The entries, handicap and courses are as follows:— Launch Race,—To start at 2.20. p.m. Course, from flagship round outer pile at Bayswater, thence round mark boat west of tide deflector round Pile beacon off Chelsea to flagship, keeping marks on, starboard. ' • ■; ' POWER BOAT ASSOCIATION. CRUISE IN COMPANY. The New Zealand, Power Boat Association mil hold a cruise us company this afternoon. Should the- weather bo favourable the destination will be Arkle's Bay, bnt if the .wind is " in " the boats will proceed to Putiki Bay,. In order to stimulate interest in the oruise bcat-ownera have handed in the time estimated to cover the journey to either bay. Five minute* after the start will be allowed to adjust* the engine to suit the declared time. After that the engine must not be handled on any consideration, and no "clocking," will be allowed. The boat that reaches its destination nearest to the time handed in will be declared the winner.
