SOVIET ON FRENCH LINER.
STEWARD STARTS MUTINY. NO FOOD FOR PASSENGERS. A. oft N.Z. PARIS. Feb. 19. Captain Cochcry, of the Messagenes Jtaritimes liner Amazone, has withdrawn proceedings against members of the crew who were charged with mutiny in remarkable circumstances. The seamen, who had been in prison for some time, have been released. The mutiny started with a steward, who, considering himself insulted by a passenger, referred tho matter to the secretary of the Seamen's Union, who happened to be aboard. The secretary issued an order that the passenger was not to be served by any steward. Other passengers intervened, and then all Ihß stewards demanded that the passengers be put ashore. The mutiny then commenced. Passengers were refused all food, and a Soviet tribunal waa set up.
