Vera Janet Brown, aged 22 years, wad drowned while bathing in the WaiinaU River yesterday. She was with a 10-year-old boy, who was watching an aeroplane. When the boy looked round the girl, who could not swim, had disappeared. The body was recovered later. At the inquest evidence was given that the de-ceased could nqt swim. The spot was dangerous, some holes being 14ft. deep. A verdict of accidentally drowned was returned,
