CATTLE TICK MENACE.
REGULATIONS GAZETTED.
INFESTED AREAS DECLARED. [bi telegraph.—press association.] WELLINGTON. Thursday. Regulations for the prevention of the spread of cattlo tick are gazetted under the Stock Act, 1908. Areas in the Auckland Province and Bay of Plenty district are declared "infested areas," and the removal of cattle without a permit is prohibited, subject to a fine of not less than £5 and not moro than £200. The removal of paspalnm grass produced within these areas is similarly prohibited.
