MENACE TO PUBLIC HEALTH.
VAGRANT IMPRISONED.
A brief sitting of the Police Court was held yesterday before Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M., proceedings being ove r in less than five minutes.
An elderly vagrant, Francis Murphy, who had been found in the Domain pavilion at 11 o'clock the previous night, was sentenced to three months' hard labour, he having been previously convicted of being an idle and disorderly person. Sergeant Rowell said that accused was indescribably filthy and was a menace to public health.
