Bishop Locko, head of the Methodist Episcopal Church of America in tie Philippines, sailed from Sydney for Wellington by tho Manuka yesterday to take part in the celebrations- of the centenary of Methodism in the Dominion.
The Canterbury Progress League has extended an invitation to the Pri me Minister to spend a few djvs in Christchurch and North Canterbury as the guest of the league. In view of the statement that Mr. Masfey intends to I visit Lake Tekapo about March 16 it j 6 respected he will be able to spend a few ! days in the city and the northern district on his way south.
