PLAGUE ON JAPANESE SHIP.
QUARANTINED IN SYDNEY. RELEASE OF PASSENGERS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. . (Eecd. 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 9. The Japanese eteamer Tango Mara, from Yokohama, has been quarantined, a case of plague having been discovered aboard at Thursday Isiand. As there were no further cases during the passage to Sydney the passengers were permitted to land.
