GIFT TO LONDON HOSPITAL.
£10,000 FROM AN AMERICAN. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. (Reed, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. A wealthy American has given £10,000 to the London Hospital as a thank offering to the hospital for finding a volunteer willing to give a pint of blood to save his sick wife. Tho gift will enable the hospital to reopen 200 beds closed owing to the increased cost of maintaining the hospital.
