BOURNEMOUTH MURDER
THE POLICE BAFFLED. HOUSE-TO-HOUSE SEARCH. Australian and N-Z. Cable Association. (Reed, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. The Bournemouth police are malting untiring but fruitless efforts to find the perpetrator of the mysterious murder near tho town. They have conducted a house-to-house search, and also oompared the writing on the telegrams in their possession with that of every holder of a bank account in the district, believing that the murderer may be an educated man, masquerading as a chauffeur and purposely making mistakes in spelling in the telegrams.
