CHARGE UNDER GAMING ACT
PEANUT SELLER ARREStID. Charged with having loitered in Quay Streot for the purpose of betting Thomas Hope, described as a peanut smallholder, was arrested on Saturday by Detective Knight. The alleged offences were rtatod to havo been committed on December 24 and January 7. When arrested the accused had in his possession about £40, He was brought before.Mr. L. H. Neumogen, J.P., and v/m rumanded until to-aay. Bail was allowed in one surety of £100, the amount being promptly forthcoming.
