Conflicting evidence was tendered at the inquest on Hyman Coleman, a butcher's assistant, of Hackney who was stabbed in the breast at home after a visit to the cinema. . Coleman while dying in hospital, m- • formed the police that hi s four-year-old son picked up a table knife and stabbed • him, saying " This is how the man did it i in the pictures " Coleman's brother gave evidence that deceased told him his wifo 1 stabbed him after a quarrel, but that ..e s would not accuse her, as then there would i be no one to tako caro of the two childs ren. Dr. Spilsbury, a Home Office expert, said in evidence that it was very doubt--1 fill if the wound could be inflict e3 by a child, but that it was just possible.
