♦ " FIREFLY." At His Majesty's Theatre to-night thi initial presentation of the very success ful comic opera "Firefly" will b staged by J. C. Williamson's rausica comedy company. It was in " Firefly' that the present organisation achieve* its greatest success in Sydney and Mel bourne, where it enjoyed record sea sons. PUPDLS' RECITAL. An enjoyable violin and pianofort* recital by the pupils of Wilfred am Annie Morris wa3 given in the Town Hal concert chamber on Saturday evening The programme comprised an attractiv< selection of numbers which gave the pupili ample scope to display their ability anc which were much appreciated by the audi ence. Pianoforte solos were given by Misi N. Reeves, Miss E. M. Berridge, Miss I Blewden, Miss R. Gibson, Mrs. J. M Dunlop, Miss I. M. McCarthy, Mrs. G Wallace, and Miss M. Moor. Violii solos were rendered by Mr. T. K. Gatenb; and Mr. R. Godley. Mrs. Morris act«< as accompaniste for the violinists.
