NEW USE FOR RADIUM.
INFLUENCE UPON GEMS. LONDON. Sept. 29. Experiments are being made with radium to convert gems of little value into valuable stones. The influence of radium imparts to the gems- the rich colours from whuh they derive their value. If the experiments are succeissful thev will revolutionise the gem industry.
