ARBUCKLE AT HOME.
KISSES AND HISSES. VANCOUVER, Sept. 30. A message from San Francisco states that Roscoe Arbuckle has departed for his Los Angeles home with his wife, from whom he has long "been separated, his mother-in-law, and his attorneys. lli 3 trial will probably take place on October 3 at San Francisco. Though Arbuckle has been released, feeling still runs high regarding hi? case in San Francisco, judge Lazarus handed to the police a dozen letter? in which the life of the judge was threatened as a result of his decision to dismiss the murder charge. The police authorities are furnishing a bodyguard for the judge until the resentment subsides. Arbuckle on his return to Los Angeles was greeted by great crowds. Several show-girls showered him with kisses, while others hissed and booted. A woman created a diversion by mounting on a stand and denouncing Arbuckle and fhe crowd for cheering him. Several fist fights followed.
