AWAITING EXTRADITION.
WELLINGTON THEFT CHARGE.
ARRESTS IN AUSTRALIA.

Pvoderick Munreme and Robert Heaton Munro have been formally charged with the theft of jewellery alleged to have been obtained from Minewa Hermia at Wellington. Detective Thom, of Wellington, is awaiting an extradition order to escort the accused to Wellington.
Munreme ana Munro, who had been manager and advance representative respectively of a party of Maori entertainers, were arrested at Broken Hill a fortnight ago on a provi.-ional warrant charging them with having obtained from Minewa Hermia, at Wellington, jewellery, valued at £300. In defence, it was stated that the jewellery was given t'hem by Hermia for safekeeping, to he realised upon if difficulty arose with the touring party, and that it was now in possession of a solicitor at, Palmerston.
