IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
VANCOUVER 'AS VENUE.
MR. MASSEY'S SUGGESTION. Beuter. OTTAWA, Sept. 11.
Mr. W. F. Massey, speaking at the Canadian Club, Vancouver, advocated that the next Imperial Conference be held at Vancouver, because of the vast distance some of the delegates are compelled to travel in going to London. He defended the Anglo-Japanese Treaty, and declared that the best assurance of Pacific peace was the retention of this alliance, because if the British Empire discarded Japan, other world Powers would be ready to accept her as an ally.
