PIECEWORK UNDER STATE.
S. AUSTRALIAN ADOPTION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. CRecd. 11.30 p.m.) ADELAIDE. Sept. 7. The South Australian Government has decided to adopt the principle of piecework as far as possible in Government departments, and to fix its own rates of pay, instead of referring to the Wages Board. The decision has aroused widespread labour opposition.
