MOVABLE SCHOOLS.
BOARD APPROVES PRINCIPLE.
ONE TO BE BUILT Aj3 TRIAL-
Permission for the immediate erection of a school of the movable type recently suggested by the Minister for Education, is to be made by the Auckland Education Board. Application was recently made by the board for granta for schools on the Boy:d Oak and Mennie's Reserve sites, in reply to which the department asked i| schools of the movable type would not fill the immediate need. The board's architect, Mr. J. Farrefl, yesterday reported that tLs movable schools would probably cost more than the crtuc-dox wooden building of the same size, but they would possess the great advantage of being movable. It would be a good idea to erect one building at once, so that- the board could determine the actual coet, which would probably be rathshigher than the department anticipated. The general principle of the movabls schools was approved by the board, and a committee appointed to decide whether the first one should, be erected on tbe Eoyal Oak site or as an estra cla&roo« at Onekunga school-
