MIXED SALE IN LONDON. CROSSBRED PRICES FIRMER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. {Reed. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 27, At a sale of mixed Bawra and free wool to-day Merinos were very firm, practically equal to the opening prices. The Home trade was active. Medium and low crossbreds met with a brisker demand, but prices were slightly in sellers favour. There were some withdrawal* of fine crossbreds, owing to nigh limits. SYDNEY SERIES CLOSES. MERINO SLIGHTLY LOWER. Australian smd N.Z. Cable Association, fc&ecd. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. July 23. The second series of wool sales has closed. Compared with the first series best MeriUos were slightly lower. Other Merinos realised firm figures, but coarse crossbreds were not in request.
