. dj> The Mount Albert Borough Council met on Wednesday evening, the Mayor, Mr. A. F. Bennett, presiding over a full meeting. A deputation was appointed to" wait upon the manager of the Auckland Gas. Company and bring under his notice the inadequate lighting of the street laaaps in the borough.. With regard to the complaint from the Point Chevalier School Committee regarding Gladstone Road, it was decided that nothing could be done, in the matter until some of the loan money was available. Camplaint having been made regarding the conveniences at Eden Park it was. decided- to. bring the matter before the Cricket With regard to objections to valuations, the town clerk reported that only one objector had attended, and as his objection was not upheld the valuations were sustained. It was decided *to exempt Onslow _Koad from the provisions of the Public Works It was reported that nine permits for building 6 and four for alterations had been issued at a cost of £3215 since last meeting.
