St. Hippo. The drive north-east on the St. Hippo reef has been advanced Bft. Th« r?ef is etQl inclined to bear northward, and practically the whole face of the drive is in quartz, causing progress to be slow. Th» quartz coming to hand has~a vory kindly appearance, carrying excellent minerala, ■which show colours of gold. Horseshoe. —The drivo on the Hors**bo« reef is now in 9Sft. The reef is still a littl* pinched, but is carrying good mineralised country with "it. Ohinerauri.—Th» Silversiream crosscut is now in 552 ft. In the early part of the week another body of quartz via* met with, end it, was penetrated for 15ft. and no football was met with. The Quart* looks kindly, and traces of values wero to be seen in too solid quartz. The latter carries & fair percentage of silica snd manganese.
