AUCKLAND LADIES' TOURNAMENT. THE SECOND DAY'S PLAY. The championship tournament of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club was continued at the Middlemore links yesterday. The '. second rounds 'of the senior and junior i championships were played in the morning. ' Details are:— ' Senior Championship.—Second round : ' Miss M. Payton beat Mrs. Smith. 6 up ami 5 to play; Mrs. Buttle beat Miss M. Alison. ! 2 and 1: Miss S. Payton beat Miss M. ! Macfarlane. 1 up at the 18th hole; Mrs. \ Marshall beat Miss K. Holmes, 3 and 2. Junior Championship.—Second round: ! Mrs. Martin beat Miss Lever. 1 up at the ; ; ISth hole; Mrs. Armstrong beat Miss A. Graham. 3 aud 1: Miss M. fiellaby beat • Miss F. Wake. 5 and 4; Mrs. Brown beat ' Miss P. Bloomfield, 5 and 4. * A bogey competition was played in the afternoon, the following bemg the best scores :—Seniors: Miss, M. Alison. 3 down ; Miss M. Ridings, 3 down; Miss S. Payton, 6 down; Miss M. Macfarlane, 6 down. Juniors: Mrs. H. Richmond and Miss Lever . tied for first place with 7 down. C grade: Miss Sharman and Miss E. Foster tied for first place.. The semi-finals of. the championships will be played this morning, weather permitting. The teams match in conjunction with the second medal handicap will be played in the afternoon. The four-ball best-ball bogey match will be started to-morrow morning on the arrival of the eleven o'clock train from Auckland. THE -MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. The following team will represent the Maungakiekie Golf Club in the teams match j to be played against the Auckland Goil Club at the Tilirangi links. New Lynn, on Saturday:—R- R. O. E. Hickson. A.
