The recommendation of the Racing Commission that a totalisator permit be granted to tho Cambridge Trotting Club has been received with great satisfaction. There is no permit at present in a wide area in the Waikato district. There is abundant evidence of an early spring in the Waikato. Tho willows are already in leaf, and the early fruit tree? in full bloom. Dairying prospects are good. Last night a benefit picture entertainment was tendered Mr. L. M. Morris, in recognition of many kindnesses to the Cambridge public. There was a very large attendance of the public.
