EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
APPEAL BY PRINCE OF WALES. GUARANTEE FUND OF £500,000 A. and N. Z. LONDON, July 24. The Prince of Wales is issuing this week an appeal on behalf of the proposed British Empire exhioition to be held in London in 1923. It is stated that it is essential that at least £500,000 should be promised to the guarantee fund in the next few weeks to enable a serious start to be made. The response to the appeal will determine whether or not the exhibition ■will be held.
