COLLAPSE IN A CHURCH.
YOUNG WOMAN SUCCUMBS.
A distressing incident occurred during the evening service at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Devonport, on Sunday. A member of the congregation. Miss Helen R. Anderson, daughter of Mr. 3. Anderson, Alison Avenue, collapsed in the church, and died at her parents' residence later in the evening. When the young woman collapsed it was thought she had merely fainted, but it soon became apparent that her ailment was more serious. The service was suspended, and Miss Anderson was carried out, unconscious, and conveyed to her home. The services of Dr. H. C. Bennett were obtained, but proved unavailing.
