AIR FLIGHT POSTPONED.

■ UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER.

The flight from Auckland to Hamilton, which Captain J. Seabrook, A.F.C., proposed to undertake on Saturday afternoon in an Austin Whippet aeroplane, was postponed. It was originally intended to start from the Domain, or an Epsom paddock, but, as these are not registered places under the regulations, the machine was taken to the New Zealand Flying School at Kohimarama. At the appointed time of starting, the weather appeared to be favourable enough for the flight, and a start was made. As the machine was rising the tail skid did not quite clear a wire fence, and the result was that the ■ aeroplane came to the ground with, however, no damage other than a broken propeller. A spare propeller was affixed to the machine, but by this time the weather had become so thick that it was decided to defer the flight taJSamilton. Captain Seabrook -made a ehort ascent in the machine, and performed a number of successful evolutions. Two successful flights of about 10 minutes each were made yesterday from the flying school at Kohimarama. Ibis ground was not found to be suitable for a machine of the type. Captains A. C. Upham and J. Seabrook ' were the re spective' pilots, and some ■ stunts" were performed by them. Provided the weather is favourable, Captain Seabrook will leave on the flight to Hamilton between eight and nine o'clock this morning.
