VISIT TO MORRINSVILLE.

SOLDIERS' FARMS INSPECTED. [by telegrap-h.—own correspondent.] MORRINSVILLE, Saturday. The Governor-Generai, Lord Jellicoe, arrived in Morrinsville yesterday, as the guest of Lieut.-Colonel R. C. Allen, D.5.0.. A.D.C. to His Excellency. This morning Lord Jellicoe was motored out to the Mangateparu soliders* settlement, and saw the soldiers at work on thlir farms. This afternoon he met the Mayor, Mr. F. J. Marshall, members of the Borough Council, and other prominent citizens, at the Bank corner.

The Mayor extended a hearty welcome to His Excellency. He said there was no community more loyal than the people of Morrinsville, who had born© their share in the Great War. Lord Jellicoe, in reply, thanked the Mayor for the welcome, and expressed his pleasure at visiting Morrinsville. He was particularly pleased at being aKe to meet so many returned soldiers. He assured the Mayor that he would visit the town again. The Governor-General was driven to the football ground, where he witnessed the Morrinsville Rugby Union's fixtures. At half-time the players, the majority of whom were returned soldiers, were presented to His Excellency, who shook hands with each man. He spoke well of the game he had witnessed. The players gave three rousing cheers for His Excellency.

HAMILTON ARRANGEMENTS. PRESENTATION OF ADDRESS. [BY TEXEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Sunday. The Governor-General, Lord Jellicoe, and Lady Jellicoe, will arrive in Hamilton at noon to-morrow, 1 and will be met by the Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, and members of the Borough Council. If the weather is suitable a reception will be held at Ferry Bank at 1.30 p.m., and an official address will be presented. At 2 p.m. the party will motor to the Narrows, where they will embark on a river steamer and proceed downstream to the St. Andrew's golf links. After afternoon tea the party will return to Ha/nilton, and will be guests at an official dinner in the evening. On Tuesday the vice-regal party will visit Ruakura Farm. After lunch at the farm the Governor-General will officially open the Winter Show, and Lady Jellicoe will switch on the power from Horahora.
