Timm BOYS TO BE BIRCHED,
Three boys sharged with theft were dered by. Mr. J, W. poyuton, S.M., va the Juvenile Court on Saturday to receive ten strokes of the birch. Two of the lads, both 14 years of age,, were concerned in the recent thefts from the. Ponsonby Cruising Club's shed, four "other boys' having been-dealt with for the -same offence during, the-previous week. The third lad, aged 13, stole £11 10s from his uncle and ran'away, visiting, in the course of his wanderings, Wellington and, Foxtoa.
