GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER.
GORGE MOTOR FATALITY. [bt telegraph.—press association.] PAI-MERSTON NORTH. Tuesday. In the Supreme Court Andrew Bezzant was found guilty, with a recommendation to leniency, on a charge of manslaughter arising out of the recent Manawatu Qhorge fatality. Accused was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, to be concurrent with a sentence of two months' imprisonment, which he is now serving for unlaw 1 y converting a motor-car to his use. Iho car was the one taken from local premises on February 28, and it went overa bank in the Gorge, David Davidson, one of thf; occupants, being killed.
