Mr. C. P Skerrett, K.C, of Welling, tan, is visiting Auckland.
Mr. W. G. McDonald, chairman of tk* Board of Trade, arrived in Auckland yesterday.
Mr. W. B. Montgomery, Comptroller of Customs, and chairman of the Tariff Commission, is at the Grand Hotel
Mr. T. K. Sidey, M.P. for Dunedin South, is to leave shortly on a visit to Australia that is planned to last about two months.
Mr. L. E. Haines, who has been manager of the Oamaru branch of the Bank of New Zealand for the past 10 years, will retire on superannuation at the end of June.
Dr. Ernest Boxer, C.M.G., of Hastings, who has been president of the New Zealand .Returned Soldiers' Association for two years, will visit England abont the middle of Jnne. He will therefore not seek re-election at the Dominion Conference of the association in Dunedin nest month.
