CONDITIONS IN ITALY.
MATTERS NOW ON MEND. POLITICAL STABILITY. A. and N.Z. LONDON, May 11. Colonel Ramaciotti, trade commissioner to the Commonwealth, has informed the Australian Press Association that he cannot recommend the appointment of a trade commissioner to Italy this year owing to unsettled trade conditions. Italy has turned the corner both politically -,nd commercially, but owing to the lack of industrial settlement, is making little progress. He is optimistic regarding the forthcoming elections. Socialism is discredited, and the Fascisti are rapidly growing more powerful.
