Notice is hereby ffivon that at Special Meetings of the Otahuhu Borough Council' and Otahuhu Domain Board held on THURSDAY, the 10th day of March. 1921, the Resolutions to make the Joint By-laws mentioned in the Schedule hereto were passed. The Resolution passed by, the Otahuhu Borough Council will be submitted for confirmation at a Meeting of the said Council to be held on the 14th day of April. 1921, at 7.30 pjn., at the Council Ch&mbm, Groat South Road, Otahuhu, and the Resolution by the Otahuhu Domain Board will be submitted for confirmation at a Bpecial Meeting of the eaid Board to bo held on tho 14th day of April, 1921, at 7.15 p.m„ at the Borough Council Chambers, Great South Road. THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO. The object and purport of the eaid By-laws aro as follows:— Section , 1 provides for tho interpretation and application of tho By-laws. Sections 2, 3, and 4 prohibit tho plucking of foliage, flowera, etc., the damage 'or destruction of any tree, or tho carrying away of any tree, wood, etc, on any of the Reserves, belonging to or controlled by the Council or the Board. Sections 5 and 6 prohibit any injury to tho surface, sod, or soil, or the damaging or destruction of any object, etc., in any of tho said Reserves. Sections 7 and 8 prohibit the playing of any gamo calculated to injure the turf, trees, etc.. in the said Reserves without permission from, the Council or Board, and prohibits the playing of any game, etc, in tho eaid Reserves on Sunday. Section 9 prohibits the wilful obstruction of any of tho entrances, thoroughfares, etc., in tho said Reserves. Section 10 prohibits disorderly, improper, or indecent behaviour in any of the said Reserves or the uso of foul language, etc.. therein. Sections 11 and 12 prohibit the carrying of firearms or weapons, or tho shooting, destruction, cto„.of anr bird, animal, or fish in any of tho said Reserves. Section 13 prohibits the depasturing of cattle, etc., upon any of tho said Reserves, or their being driven or allowed to stray therein without the Council's or Board's permission in writing. Section 14 prohibits the driving of any vehicle, etc., through any of the said Reserves without permission from the Council or Board. Section 15 prohibits tho interruption of any gardener or labourer at work in any of the said Parks. Section 16 prohibits Children under 5 years entering and remaining, in any of tho Reserves unless accompanied by somcono over that age. Section 17 prohibits the depositing ot any rubl)i«h in any of,the 6aid Reserves. Section ,18 prohibits gaming. Dotting or watering in any of the said Reserves. Section 19 prohibits the taking of any dog or oilier animal into tho Resorvos, with a proviso that clogs may be taken therein if kept under control by loading straps. Sections 20, 21, and 22 prohibit the erection of swings, stalls, or booths in any of the Resorvos without permission from the Council or tho Board, and empower any officer of the Council or Board to summarily prevent the erection of any swing, stall, or booth in any of the said Reserves. Section 23 prohibits all persons from allowing goats or poultry to enter or remain upon any of tho Reserves without permission from tho Council or Board. Section 24 provides that dogs found at large in any of tho said Reserves may bo destroyed by any officer of the Council or Board or Constable. Sections,2s and 26 provide for the hours during which the Otahuhu Public Park shall bo open,,and empowers the Council to grant special rights over tbo said Park and to fir special fees in respect of such rights Section 27 provides that ,the preceding sections shall apply to tho Otahuhu Public Park. Section 28 provides for a, penalty of not Acceding i's for any breach of any of tho By-laws, and,, in addition, provides that all damage occasioned by any person shall hemade good by him.
