Arrangements have now been completed for the reception of the Governor-Genera', who is expected to reach Waihi from Tanranga about 2 p.m. on April 22. .After His Excellency has been received by the Mayor and councillors and entertained at tho Council Chamber a public welcoin* will take place at the Seddon Memorial, in which returned soldiers, territorials, cadets, and school children will participate. Lord and Lady Jellicoe will then go to the Junction House, where they will be the guests of Mr. 8. Leah, general manager of the Grand Junction Company. There will be a school function open to the public in the evening if the GovernorGeneral wishes it, and arrangements will also be made for his inspection of ihft underground mine workings and batteries, PAEROA. Tu«Bd»7. A meeting of the residents of Paeroa was held last evening with the object of arranging a welcome t<j the GovernorGeneral and Lady Jellicoe on their visit to Paeroa on April 23. . The Mayor of Paeroa, Mr. P. Brenan, presided. It was decided that a reception and garden party be held in the Domain. A guard of honour, comprising returned soldiers, senior cadets, and school children, will be provided. Should tho weather be unfavourable, the function will be held in the Drill Hall. An address of welcome will be presented. It was decided to ask the Governor-General to plant the first tree in connection with tbo Paeroa Beautifying Society's scheme.
