I The election returns are incomplete, but the state of parties at present is :— Labour 17 Country Party .. . . 16 'Nationalists . . . . . . 10 National Labour .. . . 4 A feature of the election was the return of Mrs. Edith Cowan, an independent candidate, who defeated the Attorney-General, Mr. T. P. Draper. JK.C, for West Perth, by 1545 votes to 1297.
