THE YACHTING FATALITY.
ATTEMPTS TO RAISE BOAT. The question of the raising of the late Mr. T. S. Spencer's yacht Celox, which was lost with its owner ?nd his son, near Matiatia Bay. on Saturday, was discussed at a special meeting of the Victoria Cruising Club last evening. The commodore, Mr. T. L. Thompson, presided. It was decided that a committee should proceed to «he scene of the accident today and endeavour to raise the boat. It was ttated that the Auckland Harbour Board had agreed to lend • its 60-fathom sweeping gear, and it also was mentioned that the use of a scow belonging to the pevonport Ferry Company,- which is now in Matiatia Bay, could probably be also obtained if required. The lauiches Kiriwt and Daisy were pinned at the disposal of the club for the week.
