THE COLONIAL OFFICE.
COLONEL AMERY MAY REMAIN CONTINUITY OF POLICY. A- and N.Z. LONDON. Feb- 1. There was some talk of LieutenantColonel L. C. M. S. Amery, UnderSecretary for the Colonies, being given a change of office when the new arrangements are made at the Colonial Office. Lieutenant-Colonel Amery now states that he has placed himself unreservedly in the hands of the Prime Minister, but he would prefer to remain at the Colonial Office. He says he would be glad to work under Mr. Winston ChttrcholL
There is general satisfaction in AngloDominion circles at the prospect of Lieutenant-Colonel Amery remaining at the Colonial Office, a3 his presence means the continuity of the present progressive policy in relation to the Dominions.
