The despatch of a ship to Argentina, as announced by the Minister for Agriculture at Feilding yesterday, has been arranged in response to many requests that an effort should be made to revive the trade that was in process of development before the war. New Zealand was finding a very profitable outlet for apples in South America prior to August, 1914, while sheep breeders were finding an attractive market for stud sheep at atSS?™' x. The ?- eneral nse of th « Manama Canal has militated against the recovery of the connection. Snipping £ no longer scarce, and if cargoes are offering a regular connection with South American ports could be arranged.
