Coleridge Farr, honorary secretary for New Zealand of the Australasian Asso- i ciation lor the Advancement of Science, has t received advice from the permanent I honorary secretary at Sydney that the meeting of the association, which was to have been held at Hobart on January 5 - has been transferred to Melbourne, and t will begin on January 20. The alteration ( has probably been made as a result of the f shipping trouble in Australia. 1
