THE WEATHER.

MR. C. L. WRAGGES FORECAST. The following weather forecast -was issued by Mr. Clement L. Wragge last evening : —Conditions to-night are not quite so favourable for a fair Christmas as was the case last evening. The Antarctic disturbance Japhod has developed a satellite south-west from Cape Egmont, and thus an unsettled atmosphere, with some rain, is probable, especially in western parts of the South Island. So far, over the Auckland Province, matters look brighter, and there is still a probability that good weather will obtain over the North, but it must not be disguised that the depression may, in the interim, develop a northerly extension. Winds temporarily south-westerly, later inclined to back northerly, but the winds in the south will chiefly be from the north. Sea moderate.
