FOOTBALLERS' PICNIC.
The Marist Brothers Old Boys' Rugby League Football Club held its first annual picnic at Motutapu yesterday. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. An excellent sports programme was provided, and the various events were keenly contested. The arrangements made for the picnic were most satisfactory, and reflect the highest credit on the omcials. Results:— Marist Brothers Old Boys' Handicap: J. Morton, 1: T. Casey. 2. Junior handicap: L. Prendergast, 1 ; Flynn, 2; Sweeney, 3. Married ladies' handicap: Mrs. Alison, 1: Mrs. McMillan, 2. Single ladies' handicap: Miss R. Markey, l; Miss E. Thompson. 2. Three-legged race: Mitchell and Ellison, 1. Visitors' handicap: Mitchell, 1: Ellison. 2; Sweeney. 3. Steeplechase: Simpson, 1; T. Barry, "2. Inter-club handicap: Sweeney. 1; F. Turner. 2.
