MAUNGAWHAU FLORAL FETE.
A floral fete and garden party was held ui the Maungawhau school grounds en Saturday afternoon in connection vriib f'ne Queen Carnival (Standard 1. queen! for raising funds for the proposed Maungawhau school baths. The fete trhi«h «•»» arranged by various committer? r,,>)!••,■!? under the direction of Mr. R. 1 lidc!M;'>fvras an outstanding success. Thr Station Army Silver Band rendered a p'ei.' ing series of selections. The parad? of ti>» floral fete exhibits included some bwsiifnl displays by the children, ard the judces. Miss P. M. Wells and Mr. K. had difficulty in making their Fe'eciion.
