BAN ON IMMIGRATION.

SUSPENSION FOR ONE YEAR.

The House of Representatives has amended the Immigration Bill, reducing the period of the proposed suspension of immigration from two years to one year. The Philippines will be exempt from the application of the Bill.
An amendment was approved to safeguard the existing United States-Japanese agreement, under which Japanese immigration to the United States is barred.
