SMALL VESSEL ASHORE.

Early this morning Richardson and Co."s schooner, the Te Aroha, loaded with frozen meat from the Freezing Works, and en route to Napier roadstead, after negotiating the bar, was caught by a wave, and was washed up on the beach, where'-she is now hard and fast outside the western side of the entrance. It is anticipated that she will be refloated. A light swe'l was running, but danger to the vessel is not anticipated.

The Te Aroha is a wooden schooner of 105 tons gross, and is equipped with an 86 horse-power oil engine. Her dimensions are: Length. 84ft.; breadth, 24ft - and depth, 6ft. 4in.
