CARE OF AN ORCHARD.
OWNER CLAIMS DAMAGES. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] NELSON. Friday. After a sitting extending over seven days the hearing of an action brought by Joseph Samuel Thompson, bank manager, of Blenheim, against Charles Edward Lowe, of Ha/akeke, orchard supervisor, claiming damages for alleged neglect of plaintiff's orchard, has partially concluded. The jury found a verdict for plaintiff for £450. A question of law as to whether the proper party had been sued is to be submitted to Mr. Justice Hosking at Wellington.
