MOUMAHAKI STATE FARM.

STUDENTS' HOSTEL WANTED., [BT TELEGRAPH.OffS CORRESPONDENT.] WANGANUI, Frid=T. Farmers along this coast are much pleased at the attitude the Government is adopting in. regard to the Moumabajd State Farm. It is felt that the best service is not rendered either to the community or to the State. At a meeting of the sub-provincial executive of the Fanners' Union it "was stated that a scheme had been formulated at Waverley whereby the farm* could be used as a training school fqr boys at the technical college. ■If the Government -would erect a hostel at Moumahaki students could go up at various periods to obtain a practical knowledge of agriculture. Boys could do the work on the farm and attend lectures by experts. This scheme would raise the states of the fferm and the lectures given to the students could also be by older students and farmers. By this means a better use would be made of the farm. *

A' committee was set up to draft a scheme to place before the Minister "for Agriculture.
