MISS WALRDND IN SYDNEY. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Dec. 3. Miss Violet Walrond, the Auckland Olympic swimmer, won the 100 yards scratch race in im. 14s. to-day. Miss Fanny Durack and Mrs. Mina Wvlie did not compete. Miss Walrond afterwards won her heat in the 100 yards handicap in lm. 135., and finished second in the final, . being beaten .by a yard. The winner's tims was lm. 235., and her handicap 9s.
