KILLED BY A TAXI-CAB.
GREEN ISLAND FATALITY. [BY teleghafh.— ASSOCIATION".] DUNEDIN. Tfc ursaar. Arthur- Gilderoz Barnes, eight years old, was knocked down by a taxi-cab at Green Island yesterday and died in the hospital.
At . the inquest a Christchurch visitor, Ohar.es \ictor Marie Legall, who was a passenger in the taxi-cab, stated that the car was not travelling at more than 15 miles an hour. The child seemed to run oat in front, and the driver swerved and stopped a couple of lengths ahead. The inquest was adjourned.
