REMUERA SCHOOL QUEEN.
CORONATION CEREMONY.
The coronation ceremony in connection with the Remuera school queen carnival, held last week in aid of the fund for the school memorial gates, took place in St. Aidan's Hall, Remuera, last evening. The building was packed, to the doors, many having to be content with standing accom modation. The chairman of the ftomusra school committee, Mr. C. H. Fiirness, presided. He announced that about £430 was in hand os a result of the carnival, and the fund was now more than sufficient to provide for the erection of the gates as planned. Miss "Doris Glover, the candidate of standard VI., was crowned queen. A total of 7259 votes had been cast in her favour, each vote representing 3d, sewed for the fund by the children 'in her class.
