ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED.
AUCKLAND SEAMAN'S DEATH. Advice has been received that Mr. Lewis Messer, a seaman, was accidentally drowned at Greymout-h on Tuesday Mr. Messer, who was 25 years old, was a "son of Mr. Andrew Messer, chief clerk in the city treasury department. He served with the naval forces during the war, and was torpedoed three times.
